Oh Yes, I went there in the title. And yes, there are audacious men in this world too. But as a woman, I was embarrassed for this female six days from Sunday.
Being a single mother with children or, for that matter, a single daddy with children does NOT mean your first date, much less fourth date, with someone confers responsibility for their date’s offspring’s health and well–being. The dialogue between these two cartoonish drawn-like characters fronting as adults is indicative of a segment of western society today that is both toxic and dysfunctional. She has zero self-esteem and presents herself in the least appealing way as a person much less a romantic prospect.

I could not care less why he was late to the date or why she chose to sit there for an hour and a half just to get a free meal out of the man. If his being late was significant for her decision-making relating to continued contact, then the fact she remained and accepted dinner falls on her, not him.
Her demanding his wallet to feed her kids back home is indicative of an entitled 13 yr old girl or, worse, a toddler who wants more cookies. She comes across as a nasty, self-serving B%$%^H who only cares about what she can monetarily get out of a date. Involving the waitstaff was inappropriate as well.
I can only imagine the “productive citizens” she raises up – as this attitude is pervasive and passed along generationally in certain segments of our society. And that goes for all people, not just Black People.
For his part, He should have called her cell to inform her he was going to be late unless some unknown issue would have made that impossible. And if his lateness was just about being thoughtless and rude, then she should have dealt with that straight up by leaving or staying to say not acceptable and bye – not get him to pay for her meal.
Finally, when she started that crap about ordering steak meals for her kids, and he recognized she was serious- he should have gotten up and paid for his and her meal with the manager and not said another word to her. Good riddance!
